Gaffney’s is a family run business with family values, having been established since 1996. With our new Heathcote Bakery now open and the recent addition of our Pie Kitchen in Seymour, we are dedicated to adding exciting shopping and dining experiences for the district. Our three core values are to give our customers a warm and welcoming shopping and dining experience, to serve delicious food that is true to our heart, and to always ensure our staff work in an atmosphere of encouragement and positivity, having fun along the way.

Rosters are flexible with no late nights. Whilst experience is favourable, it is not essential. We will train you and make sure you have all the knowledge you need to succeed.

We are seeking people who are reliable, passionate about food, and eager to interact with customers. For school students, seeking their first job, this is a wonderful steppingstone to their future in any industry

CASUAL RETAIL ASSISTANTS can expect to:

  • Complete regular date checks

  • Re-stock displays

  • Interact and engage with customers

  • Regularly tidy and clean retail areas.

  • Take orders using a POS machine

  • Heat, prepare and serve food and beverages

  • Clear tables

  • Have a high level of customer service

  • Practice safe food handling procedures at all times

  • SMILE!

The successful applicant will receive:

SHIFT SUPERVISORS can expect to:

  • Manage and supervise all casual retail staff for the duration of a shift.

  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures including cash handling.

  • Receive stock and check invoices

  • Possess a current Food Handling Certificate (preferred)

  • Check off outgoing orders

  • Practice safe food handling procedures at all times

  • Possess strong communication skills

  • Possess the ability to handle times of high customer volume while maintaining a positive shopping and dining experience for each customer.

 Hours of work

Gaffney’s Bakery & Gaffney’s Pie Kitchen are open 7 days per week. We have part time, casual and full-time positions available. Occasional and/or regular weekend work is expected.
